自然なのは、「現時点では就労許可はありません」と先に正直に伝え、そのうえで将来の選考として話したい、と切り分ける言い方です。観光滞在やeTAだけではカナダで働けず、多くの場合は有効なWork Permitなどの就労資格が必要です。無許可就労は将来の申請にも影響し得るため、ここはあいまいにしない方が安全です。
例：“Not at the moment. I’m currently in Canada as a visitor, so I’m not authorized to work yet. I’m exploring opportunities for the future and would only start after obtaining the proper work authorization.”
「現時点ではありません。現在は観光でカナダに滞在しているため、まだ就労はできません。将来の機会を探しており、正式な就労許可を得てから勤務を開始します。」
スポンサーの可能性を聞きたい場合は、“If your company is open to candidates who need work authorization, I’d be happy to discuss the timeline.”
「就労許可が必要な候補者も検討対象であれば、スケジュールについてお話しできればうれしいです。」が自然です。
避けたいのは「すぐ働けます」「現金なら大丈夫です」「トライアルだけならできます」という言い方です。無給でも仕事に近い作業や研修は問題になり得ます。面談は情報交換として行い、開始日、研修、シフトの話になったら、必ず就労許可取得後と伝えるのがバンクーバーでは一番印象が良いです。参考：IRCC “Understand the consequences of unauthorized work”／“Business visitors attending meetings, events and conferences in Canada”。
